Butch, the owner, personally teaches Cajun Country Swamp Tours guides to bring you a swamp tour that is enjoyable, entertaining, and educational. Your swamp tour will be interlaced with natural history and local lore, while your tour boat treks through moss laden cypress trees and you observe alligators, egrets, herons, turtles, etc. Tours last two hours and we strive to make your swamp tour pleasurable and memorable. Butch grew up on a small Cajun farm on the Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge. Early in life his dad introduced him to the swamps of Cajun Country. Working summers on dredge boats, paid his way through college to earn degrees in Botany and Zoology and also Butch witness how the rivers, bayous, wetland areas, man's interventions, and coastal erosion are all intertwined and constantly changing. Everything adds up to give Butch a rich insight into the ecology of Cajun Country swamps. The swamps are our Joie de Vivre (joy of life) so come with us on an eco-journey to remember.
