About Pirates of Charleston

he Black Ghost pirate ship is fully inspected and certified by the US Coast Guard to hold up to 30 passengers. She is a 45-foot, wooden ship built in 1974 and spent most of her life working as a passenger vessel on the Hudson River in New York. From there she went to Cocoa Beach, Florida where she enjoyed being a cruise boat on the Indian River. In 2015 she made her way to Charleston and was transformed into a custom pirate ship and renamed "The Black Ghost". The cruise aboard the Black Ghost pirate ship is nonstop fun for approximately and hour and a half. Upon arrival we will meet at the yellow Pirate Cruise sign in front of the La Quinta hotel. There we will spend about 15 minutes getting the little pirates ready for their big pirate adventure. We will dress them like pirates, give them their own pirate name and teach them how to talk like a pirate. From there we will head out on the Ashley River for about an hour and 15 minutes.
