Two months before the wedding and Grandma only had a bag of fabric and a pattern to wear. She asked me to sew a dress and I became the family's go-to seamstress. A year later and we have Haley Hems. Over the years I've made custom clothes for myself and altered ready to wear clothes for family and friends. I'm happiest when I'm sewing and altering clothing to fit just right, offering comfort and style. I started sewing when I noticed my Beanie Baby needed a skirt. I went from using scraps from grandma's stash to purchasing my own lemon print to make myself shorts (they didn't fit). It's much easier to tailor clothes for a stuffed dog.
