About Dr. Selina Fuentes, DDS
Dr. Selina Fuentes grew up in Laredo, Texas and graduated from J. B. Alexander High School Magnet for Health Sciences in 2011. She pursued her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M International University in Laredo where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Fuentes gained early acceptance into the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) Dental School and graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2018. During her time in dental school, she was awarded numerous scholarships, including those from the National Hispanic Health Foundation, Crest Oral-B, and the Hispanic Dental Association. Thereafter, Dr. Fuentes enrolled in a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at UTHSCSA to further expand her knowledge and treatment abilities. Dr. Fuentes was trained in complex restoration of natural teeth, implant surgery, oral and IV moderate sedation, root canal treatments, and complex dental surgeries.
