About Blue Ridge Cafe & Catering

Chef and Owner Shawn Hayes moved to Central Virginia in 1995 after meeting and marrying his wife Rita. They opened a small 30 seat café just hours after their daughter Elizabeth was born. Knowing he was in a small market with not a lot of Restaurant choices, Chef Shawn designed a menu and restaurant that was something everybody could enjoy. Over the last 20 plus years he has built the business from a small café to a Cozy Café, Sports Bar, Banquet Rooms and off Site catering, as well as one of Virginia's best known wedding caterers.
