About Bay Area Breastfeeding Support

Serena has authored articles on lactation and breastfeeding for La Leche League International and Native Mothering, an online breastfeeding and mothering resource. Additionally, she presents breastfeeding topics at workshops, classes and conferences. She is the founder of Bay Area Breastfeeding Support, and sees over 600 families a year. To date she has seen close to 5000 families. She also runs a support group with over 8300 members in it. Serena is a Registered Nurse in the State of California, and also a board certified LC. She has two degrees and is a constant life learner. Serena's area of focus are challenging issues such as tongue tie, failure to thrive, previous breast surgery, painful breastfeeding and oral and structural pathology, and lower that normal infant weight gain. Serena is married and has one child who she adores. Immunizations: Serena is fully vaccinated and prepared for the 2020 year.
