About American Steel Processing

American Steel processing started on the Northside of Pittsburgh near the old Heinz plant over as Liberty Salvage fifty years ago. Through the years we located to a different location on the Northside near the old Three Rivers Stadium and added on a Steel Servicing Center Warehouse. In 2003 we relocated to Neville Island and operate strictly as a scrap metal yard that specializes in the purchase of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and fulfilling scrap contracts with local steel mills. In July of 2025 we relocated to a bigger and better property in Crescent, PA. Our new strategic location provides easy access to all types of vehicles via Routes 51, 65, and Interstate 79. Because of our location, we can easily service the following areas: Greater Pittsburgh area, Beaver County, area's of Butler County, and Washington County. We can even travel to area's of West Virginia and Ohio if needed.
